This elegant poppy was picked on the side of road in Norwich and pressed by Ruby in her studio.
It was pressed using the traditional method of flower pressing and then photocopied to create this lovely and unique print.
In the 19th Century, British horticulturalists who were incentivised by the booming opium trade attempted to establish an opium poppy crop in the UK. Unfortunately for them, it was eaten by a plague of hares.
This is a scanned image. Prints are printed onto thick premium quality matte photo paper with a lovely slightly off white background.
